We want your views on ICT qualifications!

As part of our review of qualifications in the information and communications technology sector, we are asking employers, learners, learning providers and others to complete a short questionnaire.

We’re currently reviewing GCSEs, A levels and vocational qualifications in ICT, taken by pupils in Wales, and the skills they develop from studying these before starting a career in ICT. We’d like your opinions on whether qualifications in this sector are meeting the needs of learners and employers. (Employersif you’re not familiar with qualifications, but know what IT skills you need your staff to have, this survey is also for you)

We are focusing on qualifications taken by learners on publicly funded courses - for learners aged 14-19 - and apprenticeships, but we are also happy to hear about others (although degrees will not be included in our review).

If you would like to share your views, please click on the corresponding link in the table below.

Any response you send us will be seen in full by Qualifications Wales staff dealing with the issues related to this review. It may also be seen by other Qualifications Wales staff to help them plan for future reviews. Qualifications Wales will hold all data electronically and it will be stored in line with our IT policies and Information Handling Guidelines. We are also holding two activity-based workshops for teachers and lecturers of ICT, one in north Wales and one in south Wales. For more information, and to register, please click here.
