Qualifications Wales is the regulator of non-degree qualifications in Wales. As part of our strategy to regulate qualifications, we undertake reviews of qualifications in key sectors.
We are seeking to appoint experts in Digital Technology under a contract for services to assist us in reviewing new qualifications that are submitted by the awarding body. Experts will use their knowledge, understanding and experience of:
- teaching in School / Further Education (FE) / Higher Education (HE)
- and/or assessment,
- and of the Digital sector.
This work will ensure that the new qualifications:
- comply with our regulatory requirements
- will effectively meet the needs of learners and employers in Wales
- promote public confidence.
Following a one-day training event at Qualifications Wales’ office in Newport on 21st February 2020,. Experts will conduct home based reviews of draft qualification materials and report writing and will also attend face to face panel meetings to discuss findings. Work will commence between March 2020 and April 2021.

Contracts will commence in the order of the dates that the proposed qualifications are due to be submitted by the awarding bodies for approval (currently estimated to be between March 2020 and April 2021).
