Consultation on the reform of qualifications for first teaching from September 2017
Between 4 April and 15 May 2016, Qualifications Wales consulted on proposals for a number of reformed qualifications to be Approved for first teaching in Wales from September 2017.
In July 2016, we published the Approval Criteria for the reformed qualifications, which set out the detailed requirements for how the reformed qualifications should be designed and assessed. These requirements were informed by the responses to our consultation and by views expressed by learners through a supplementary engagement exercise.
The following reports summarise the responses we received to consultations of the proposals and explains the decisions that we took in light of these when developing the final Approval Criteria for each subject.
