Survey for teachers on Non-Examination Assessment (NEA)
We would like to hear from GCSE teachers across Wales about their perceptions and experiences of Non-Examination Assessment (NEA) in the GCSE subject that they teach. NEA is any type of assessment that is not taken by candidates at the same time under controlled conditions.
This online survey is being hosted and analysed by Strategic Research and Insight (SRI), an independent research company based in Cardiff on our behalf.
We are encouraging teachers from across a range of settings, including maintained secondary schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Further Education (FE) colleges and independent schools to take part and would like to hear from teachers of the current WJEC GCSE specification in one or more of the following subjects:
- Design and technology
- Food and nutrition
- Media studies
- Modern Foreign Languages (French, German and Spanish)
- Welsh second language
You can take part by clicking here.
The findings from this survey will be considered alongside information already gathered from focus groups conducted with teachers to help shape the future design and development of qualifications to support the new curriculum. All responses will be completely anonymous, and no individual person or setting will be identified.
