Review into late vocational qualification results

There were some instances this summer where learners who were expecting results for vocational qualifications did not receive them on time.

As you may be aware, there were some instances this summer where learners who were expecting results for vocational qualifications did not receive them on time.

Ofqual has initiated a full review of why some results were delayed so that we can fully understand the factors that may have contributed to this. This review will inform recommendations to prevent delays happening again.

Ofqual is leading on the review on behalf of the regulators in Wales and Northern Ireland and has issued a call for evidence from all schools and colleges. Ofqual has contacted schools and colleges in Wales directly with a link to an online survey for centres affected by results delays to complete. The information submitted by schools and colleges via the survey will help inform the reviews findings.

We encourage all centres in Wales that were affected by the issues this summer to engage with the survey.
