An annual report which summarises official statistics on the qualifications market in Wales for the academic year 2020/21.

- Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic users should interpret differences in statistics between 2021 and earlier years with caution.
- 740,740 certificates were awarded in 2020/21, an increase of 2.0% compared to 2019/20. The awarding body with the largest market share was WJEC, who awarded 68.7% of all certificates, the same proportion as last year.
- On 31 August 2021, there were 96 recognised awarding bodies in Wales, which is two fewer than in 2020. Since Qualifications Wales was established on 21 September 2015, there are 37 fewer recognised awarding bodies, a decrease of 27.8%.
