Reviews of marking and moderation for GCSE, AS and A level: summer 2023
An annual release that presents data on the number of reviews of marking and moderation in Wales for GCSE, AS and A level qualifications. Due to the cancellation of summer exams in 2020 and 2021, there is no reviews of marking data for these years.
Key Points:
- 308,355 GCSE grades were issued in summer 2023. 1.0% of all GCSE grades awarded were challenged and 0.2% of all GCSE grades were changed.
- 74,640 AS and A level grades were issued in summer 2023. 1.7% of all AS and A level grades awarded were challenged and 0.3% were changed.
