Vocational and Other Qualifications Quarterly: Quarter 4 (October to December) 2023 for Wales

Key Points:
- 54,455 certificates were awarded in quarter 4 of 2023. This is a 40.2% increase compared to the same quarter in 2022.
- Between January and December 2023, 271,735 certificates were awarded, an increase of 11.5% compared to the previous year.
- Compared to Q4 2022, 12 of the 15 sectors saw an increase in certificates in Q4 2023. The largest increase in the number of certificates was in Health, Public Services and Care.
- Compared to Q4 2022, seven of the ten levels saw an increase in certificates in Q4 2023. Level 3 qualifications saw the largest increase in the number of certificates.
